Pet Boarding

Going on vacation? We provide boarding facilities for our clients’ canines, felines, avians, reptiles and other exotics. Pets can be checked in or out at any time during normal business hours. Pickups can also be arranged for Sunday afternoons between 4 and 5 PM. Our goal is for your pet to have a comfortable and happy stay while away from home. We also want to ensure all our boarders a safe and healthy environment to reside in. In order to do this efficiently we require that all animals have proof of annual routine vaccinations by a veterinarian.

Dogs
Dogs must be current with proof on bordetella (kennel cough), Distemper/Parvo, and Rabies vaccines. Our kennel staff takes great care to provide a clean, happy, healthy environment for your pet. Playtime is enjoyed, weather permitting, three times a day in our spacious outdoor kennel area. Purina EN brand dog food is provided twice a day. If a special diet, supplements or medications are necessary, owners are required to bring them with their pets at time of stay. Your pet is welcome to bring his or her favorite blanket and toy. Bedding is provided. We cater to any and all special needs such as medication or a senior pet with disabilities. All indoor kennel areas are heated and air-conditioned to keep them a comfortable temperature.$17.00 per Night

Cats
Cats must be current on Feline distemper combo and Rabies vaccines, with a strong recommendation for Feline Leukemia vaccine. Comfort and quality care are of the utmost importance. It is our goal to provide this to your cat during its stay at Idaho Veterinary Hospital. Each cat is given a spacious area in our Cat Condos. These condos are designed to give your cat a private area to rest or can be converted into a larger space for climbing and playing. Our condos are located in a secure room, separate from our canine boarders, designed especially with the cat in mind. Each cat is allowed time out of its cage daily to stretch its legs and explore our playroom. Purina brand cat food is fed twice a day. If a special diet, supplements or medications are necessary, owners are required to bring them with their pet at the time of boarding. Cat condos are also air conditioned and heated to ensure your cat’s comfort. $14.00 per Night

Avians
Although small cages are available for our avian clients, it is preferred that owners provide cages to assure a sense of security and familiarity. An outdoor aviary is available, weather permitting. All birds are kept separate from each other during their stay to maintain a safe, healthy environment. Fresh assorted fruits and vegetables along with a seed mix are offered daily. Any special diet or treats provided by the owner will gladly be given. $10.00 per Night

Other Exotics and Reptiles
Reptiles and other exotics are uncommon and have individual needs. They will be provided for on a case-by-case basis. Reptiles – $7.00 per Night, Other Exotics – $10.00 per Night

All pets
Must be free of external parasites. Any animal found to have fleas or ticks will be treated at the owner’s expense. Please note that these services are available for existing clients only.
